tip for any venders for oldschool parts.

tip for any venders for oldschool parts.
Tell me if I'm wrong here but if someone were to start producing oldschool Mazda suspension and body parts, I think they would make a killing in sales. No one makes parts for these cars anymore so there would be no other competition and I think there would be plenty of demand because I myself need parts and I know of hundreds of other people needing parts too. So this goes out to Racing Beat, Atkins Rotary, Rotary Shack, and any other venders out there jump on it and do us all a favor and make lots of money doing it. I'm seriously thinking about doing it myself. I could probably retire in a year by selling inner and outer tie rods all day long if I had them. LOL. Does anyone else out there have the same thoughts as me?

What type of parts are you guys looking for?
I don't post in this section much, but in my view...the parts market for the old school rotary guys is similar to the Datsun 510 guys...
Some guys are doing full restoration projects, and spend every nickel and dime on restoring parts to stock. (Like a $5k paint job...which I've seen on a 510)
Some guys do crazy stuff...and spend every nickel and dime on aftermarket stuff (crazy engine swaps, etc.).
Other guys don't spend much and are custom DIY projects (this happens a lot).
I guess I should take a look to see what you guys want.
Ultimately, it is always supply & demand. Seeing if there is enough of a market to determine if "x" products should be made versus time invested.
I'll browse over in the Australian automotive scene to see what they have there...

I would love to see them them reproduce!
I would like a rubber kit if it were a resaonable price. I would prefer a US manufacturer or resaler. If someone knows crossrefence parts I would be willing to go that route. If some place sells universal rubber with the right section dimmentions that I could just cut and glue that would be fine too? I just don't want to buy the wrong stuff and have to waste time and money trying again. I would like to go the easy route if I could though.
While I am wishing...I would also like some brushed stainless fender mirrors and a small front air dam. Where did the molds for the GT3 RX3 widebody end up? That should be in someone's catalog with a carbon fiber option! Anyone do windshields or windows? Anyone do dash board caps? Even carbon fiber replica replacement dash would work.

Someone needs to make a thread of old school vendors listing what they sell and contact info. Once this is done is should be a sticky. That would be useful.

Just got a box of RX3 front end parts from
http://www.autopartsgiant.com/
Box included;
4 tie rod ends (inner and outer)
2 lower ball joints
Bushing kit for idler arm
2 strut cartridge bumper and protectors
It took them a couple of weeks to find the parts and ship(final order Dec 20, arrived Dec 27 from US to Canada)
I've recieved conformation from Racing Beat that they are shipping 2 Koni strut cartridges for the RX3
I've already got a full set of RX3 front end bushings from the Mazda dealer.
So far unable to find a pitman arm or complete idler arm!
Anybody with a contact???

I bought a set from Oz, and have those parts for sale now. Mazda upsized my tapers for tie rod ends, center link, and upped the spline count on my steering box. Consequently, I have rod ends, idler and pitman for sale. I got mine from Rob Mills in Aus. You can find his info in another recent thread about parts suppliers.

You guys should try carquest for simple struts/wheel bearings etc.
I checked prices on struts for my 74 RX-4 a couple days ago and I can get the rears for $24.00cdn a piece. They also have re-manned calipers/wheel cylinders, and a host of other "typical" mechanical bits.
