Dude the issue here is that your girl is actually jealous of the Deuce. Now that the Duce is out the way, she will figure that the attention is going to shift back to her. Dude don't sell yourself out for a woman. In many cases the man ends up losing her anyway and then kicks himself in the *** for acomplaciating her demands and giving up our prized possesions to please her. Find a girl who will be with you for who you are. I learned a long time ago from my own mistakes. If she doesnt want me with the Deuce, eventually she wont want me even without it.

Damn...I still don't get what happened persay, but if my girl told me to sell my car I'd tell her to take a hike. I'm not even kidding. If your girlfriend /wife loves you she wouldn't ask you to chose ,she would just ask you to slow down a little my wife has never asked to chose has just ask me to slow down some but . she knows i enjoy these and asking me not to enjoy these would cause sever problems and in the end i would resent her. However judging by your garage you have enough toys to play with. It probably was time to let some of it go. When you have nothing left, then you can worry.

 

I have it in Florida. Its sitting at my shop while I gather other parts for my B Sedan/ IMSA RS car restoration. The project was put on the back burner for last year because of a more important project for a dying friend. Then I started to go through my E Prod car suspension so I'm still gathering bits. When the project gets rolling I'll document all of it for the forum.

 

There are some huge holes in the story? Did you like sell your lady friend's brother your CRX only to have it break on him or something so you bought it back and needed to sell the Rx-2 to pay for it? Or it never broke but your friend's bro lost his job and couldn't pay for the CRX so he wanted to sell it back to you? You never explained WHY you had to buy the CRX to "make hings right" I just don't get it. How does buying back a CRX make your friend like you again? Stop telling a half story because so far nothing has justified selling an Rx-2. A friendship might be worth it, but the real question is why would a car become you and a friend? That's the part that doesn't make sense.

 

Between all parties it was well known the condition of the car...the smog issue, and the work needed to make it street legal and reg'd...I was told by him and his sister at the time my friend and the mother he lov'd cars...knew how to wrench, an loved the honda crx's...He told me he agreed to buy the car and understood what i was selling him...To then tell me later after he had the car for two months he said it was gunna cost him too much money and he didn't have the time and money to put into it even though it was a perfectly running car!!!

I then bought it back...cause i don't like carma, and to come up with the rest of the money i had to sell my rx2 to make ends meet for the rest of the cash...The mom had put the money up to buy the car, and she was a good person...i had and still have a lot of repect for her and i didn't want it to look like i was doing her wrong...which i wasn't...we had a contract and it was clear as day what was being sold...but it is what it is...the mother and i still stay in contact after two yrs...and her daughter who at the time who was my friend say hello to eachother every once in a while...
