Shelby Cobra Kit Car?

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere, but did a search and found nothing.

Has anyone heard of someone putting a rotary engine into a Shelby Cobra kit car? Just was curious if it has been done. I know anything in theory can be done, but was curious how much more involved this would be versus the traditional V8.

There are a lot of people putting V8s into rotary vehicles that I feel we need to start returning the favor.

On paper thats a pretty interesting idea...in practice i think some ford/shelby guys would execute someone for doing that. Unless you put a 20B in it i dont think it would be a worthwhile project.

Yes if I were ever to do it 20B or 16X (if it ever happens) is what I had in mind for sure. The fact that Ford guys would want to kill me would make it all the better. I would put a "No Pistons" symbol on the hood for sure.
