this build is bad ***. good job man i cant wait to see more pics of the progress and when it is finished.

 

Got my new tranny, since it doesnt fit i need to modify it. Ive drawn different adapter plates but in the end it was easier just to weld the bellhousing.

These will be merged!


After some measuring i cut the rx7 bellhousing, planning to use the stock location for the starter.


Bmw bellhousing cut and milled flat.


Now they just need to be aligned together



made a special alignment tool in the lathe


One end fit the rear main bearing and the other end fit gearbox input shaft bearing.

 

 

what did you do about the starter hole overlap?

 

Some material will be cut out to make the starter fit
