Someone suggested to me to fill the cracks with bondo, smooth it out, and spray with that truck-bed liner stuff. I have yet to try it. There are dash places that will restore them to better than new condition with a lifetime guarantee, but it's expensive. I keep kicking myself now that I have another RX-2, because I used to have 2 mint condition dash mats several years ago.

That was me that did the line-x treatment to the dash. The trick is to not fill it with bondo, but with some urethane resin. It doesn't take much, and you just let it trickle in there. Tape the underside, fill with resin, and tape over the top if you want while it cures. You can sand it easily, then get it sprayed. Mine came out great.

Cool, thanks. Just curious, where does one get urethane resin?

The thing with my dash pad is that where some of the cracks have formed it is raised up, so I'll basically have to sand/chip those down to a flat surface. I need to get on that, but I'm not really looking forward to ripping everything out. Heh

Check with the mobile car interior repair guys that hang out at the local dealerships. They have products that work really well. I hear that there is a new product out that is supposed to be good.
