RX-4 brake upgrade

Very simple...junk that stock RX-4 front brakes and suspension.

Replace it with 81-85 front struts, stock springs and brake calipers plus Tokico blues, 1 front 1/8" shims from mazdatrix, stock FB front springs and RESpeed FB camber kit and a 1.5" lowering blocks for the rear. This is not your "mickey mouse slap it on and go" type of install. Took lots of work to find the right height that I am comfortable with. Not bouncy at all and no scraping.

Hello Wacky,

I see you been busy this weekend!

I got a complete GSL-SE suspension and am thinking to do the same swap this winter.

I think the struts on the 76 are shorter so am going to need bigger spacer, am still doing my research.

The car looks SWEET !

looks good as usual. you can also use QA1 coil-over springs up front to negate the use of spacers for the 81-85 front suspension (strut).

You dont make sense period as usual DoLuck. lemme say it in plain engrish.
the single spacer is used to even the height; a common problem with all 1st gens

thanks Andres...now get busy.. oh wait, your car is covered with that white stuff that I see on christmas cards.

if it snows in LA, I will need to hibernate. Below 60 here is too cold.

Wacky, as usual, your car looks beautuful. You've achieved what I would say is THE perfect stance, both front and rear. Not too high, not too low and just the right amount of of tire tuck under the fender lip. Outstanding.
