Every now and then, there are ads in the Socal area. check out www.recycler.com
I found my REPU sitting at a local garage in the lot. I asked the shop owner about it and he hooked me up with the trucks owner. The motor was bad so the guy sold it to me. You just have to look everywhere and possibly be willing to have a car shipped if you really want one. That is part of the appeal of older rotaries, not everybody has them. That is also what makes it hard to find them. Just keep looking at autotrader, thepartstrader.com, local classifieds, ebay, and even the classifieds on the forum. With enough patience you will eventually find something.
well a friend of mine is selling his its in mint condition no rust was painted professionally stripped to the metal no rust he wants 4500 with no motor or trans.interior is like new has the usual small crack on dash

I got my SP with a strong street ported 12a, a great interior but lots of rust for 2800. I paid a little too much, but I don't regret it. Sure, it doesn't run now, but it will again.
Most old rotaries are in the west coast area. The further east you go, the less you find and the worse shape they're in. The best way that I've found for spotting old rotaries is to just drive around. If you see an old lot with a whole bunch of old american cars, look closer. It's usually those old timers that happen to have an rx4 or something just sitting in the lot and will let it go for nothing. The more busted v8's you see in a yard, the cheaper the old "hunk of jap crap" becomes. Car hunting is a sport in its own right.
