rx4's
I currently own a '74 and a '76.
The differences are much more than just the bumpers. The fenders, hood, grille, and nose section are all different, as are the taillights and rear fascia.
In addition, the stock motors were quite different in their porting, with the '74 having the largest stock ports of any early rotary. The '74-'75 RX4s were also lighter.
The early RX4 is my favorite rotary car, they're faster than a stock 5.0 Mustang, and they look bitchin' too.

yup...thanks for adding those. thats why the 76 are heavier. more **** to it plus big bumpers. there's no difference in the interior except the 76 came with wood grain gauge panel. motor wise, i cant remember much except the 76 center ports are longer and the intake manifold have the reverse runners.

RX4 is still my favorite. I used to have '76 but I always thought '74'-'75 models were cool. IIRC there was difference on emission therefore milage was better on later models but prev models were more fast.

mate how do?rx4s are the filth alround rotary, not being as popular as their little brothers, over here you should be able to find an excellent example for a fairly decent price, depends what state you live in,QLD seems to be the bargain capital of Australia,at the moment.yes rx4s are heavy boats but they are the best equipped{except rx7}and you can fit a 13bt without any dramas.if you need any parts for your future ride,i've still got about 6 or 7 rx4s hanging around.good luck
