RX-2 help needed - original rebuild, photos anyone?
Hey guys,
I have a 1974 RX-2 that is currently being rebuilt, and I'm having some trouble sourcing original engine bay pictures.
I really need to know if the two panels containing the chassis tags that bolt to the firewall were painted the same colour as the rest of the body.
I'd also like to know where the main power feed to the starter motor was routed. The problem is, it's a RHD car.
Does anyone have any detailed pictures of original RX-2 engine bays they can share?
Thanks in advance.

Hey thanks for that! I don't suppose you have any pictures of how the radiator is attached to the front panel? My radiator looks original, but it needs to be stepped out a couple of inches, so I can only assume they used some kind of bracket to mount it?
Also, does anyone know if they went from a single-piece prop shaft to a two-piece at any point in the production? My car has mounts for a hanger bearing, but the workshop manual I have from 1970 shows a single piece?

hmmm yours is a 74... I think there supposed to be flat black but how its a 74 I'm not sure, seeing as how 72 (and I think that they were painted the same color untill 73) they were painted the same color as the car, 73 they were painted flat black so i would guess that for 74 there flat black...

Give me your email address I can send a few pics of my 74 rx2. And as for driveshaft it is two piece and my radiator was flush up against the radiator support. I am not using the factorm radiator now.
