Rotorfest 2005
So yeah I was there yesterday at Rotorfest 2005.Should have called it Aftermarket RX7fest.Unbelievable!! Maybe I'm just startin to show my age.I spent Weeks getting My 73 RX2 All Stock,All Original,103k Miles,2nd Owner,Mint,Twin Dizzy ready for this show!! Although the Rotorheads that were there are very Cool People!! Like to give a shout Out to my boy Chinoooooo!!!Wazzzup!!
I get there & the only other Ole Skool Ride is a really cool Yellow RX4.So the judges give out Awards for Best 1st Gen,2nd Gen,3rd Gen,Best Overall,Best Stereo? and...........Get this.......Best Vintage "Non Mazda"???? Rotary????
WTF????? Some Kit Car w/a Rotary wins.BTW there was a hot MG w/ a 13B from NYC!!
Needless to say times have changed.I have some pics from Rotorfest if anyone wants to host them until I get a chance to put them on My site. Most of the pics though are of My new Ride.We need to put together an Ole Skool Fest!!! any one down?? If I could get a couple people to help set it up we could do somethin next spring.

Yea you're right it should've been called RX7 FEST. Go to the Panamericans next weekend Hullie, you're gonna feel right at home! Trust there's a catergory for your car as most original in which you look like the favorite already. Also you're gonna see real rotaries with PROFESSIONAL" racers hitting 9',8's,7's all day, not that embarassment that those kids were displaying at the track. The guys with the 8 bangers mustv'e been laughing all day. Hey it was great to meet you and your boy. Hopefully before the season ends, I should have my 71 Corolla on the street and convinced my friend to sell me his 72 13-B Corolla Wagon that is just sitting in his garage for years! This way we could start pushing for an Ol' School rotary event.

I was quite impressed with that RX2 and the other non-7 vehicles, err minus that protege. I'm sorry you didnt end up with an award. I expected it to be mostly 7's and 8's. I was suprised to see the older vehicles there. Hope to see you around at other shows. Next time I'll stop by and say hi.

See the pics.. all those, and more old schools cars were in attendance at SevenStock-7 last year! Shoot we even had five rotary bikes last year. So YES... there are that many Ole Skool rides at sevenstock... Ole schools have alway been and continue to be a big part of the SS show. You got to know that we get about 500 rotaries on display at the Saturday show... this show is a must attend type event if you are a rotary lover.
I'm glad Rotorfest is coming along and I'm sure each year will be bigger and better!!
