20v is ok if your fine, with having as much torque as a lawnmower.... I dont like it, Im glad I learned the basics of drifting tho with low power, before I run lots.

S4 turbo engine with S5 turbo. I'm not too worried about the shifter hole lol, if anything Ill just cut it bigger. Plus I plan on reducing the throw of the shifter alot, and using a tall shifter up by the steering wheel. to match the height of the standup hydro handbrake thats going in.

Is not just making the shifter hole bigger, the turbo 2 tranny is way longer than the stock toyota unit and if you dont do it the correct way the shifter is gonna sit almost on the rear seats, the motor needs to seat as far and low as you can(like in the rx7)plus you need to bang a little bit the firewall to clear the slave cilinder.

You can shorten the tranny shifter 2 inches forward, search for this mod on the forum

Well Update:

I havent gotten my 13b yet, becasue I have to finishing cleaning up a and camming a v8 350 to trade for the swap. I should have had it by now. but I had problems with the cam for the 350. I was sent a 351 ford windsor cam rather than one for a chevy 350. I had the engine opened up and ready, went to fit the cam to the gear and it was to big ...argghhhh. I checked the paperwork and yep sure enough it said 351 windsor ford cam.. So I now have a proper cam and I should have the 13b early next week.

So your friend is trading you a rebuilt 350 for 13BT? is that correct?
If that is true then he is doing a V8 swap correct?
if that is, Awesome!
good luck
looking foward to see it finished

So I trailered my car to my dads work where I can work on it, its awesome huge shop with a lift good air supply, torches welders so many tools, its so much better then a tiny little cold garage, with barely any tools.

made some progress today, had the engine in and out a billion times did quite a bit of cutting, got a game plan. gonna get at er more tomorrow

boring pic:

a bit more progress, in the midst of making the engine mounts

boxed out the crossmember for clearance, had to do some modifications to teh oil pan also, I dotn have picks of it right now

extra Clearance for tranny

The engine mounts arent done yet its getting close tho, the way I have put it in, the drivers side engine mount on the crossmember isnt modified at all, jsut the bracket off the engine. but the passenger side I have completely ground off the bracket on the crossmember and will have the bracket off teh engine mounted directly to the crossmember with the rubber mounts inbetween.

bonus pic of its roommate(freshly restored):

engine mounts are done, I have to modifythe mounting point on the drivers side, but Ill just finish that up quickly tomorrow, (no school tomorrow so I get a longer day of working on the car )

Passenger side I still gotta fill he crack in were I bent it. Pictures dont do justice, I know its not the strongest looking. I may try to box it in a bit, but it was a weird design to make so I made sure it was thick, its over half inch thick

Drivers Side
