Rotary Yamaha WaveRunner YEA@!

Well i have started my own Waverunner project

Here are some details, put running out of time to type.

98 Yamaha XL1200W Waverunner
S4 13B
Custom Exhuast
Weber Intake
Custom Pulley transfer case

Here is some info i posted inanother Thread about a automatic Balancer

There are normaly 1 water cooling line on a waverunner to do all the cooling, but i taped another line off the Jet drive to supply water for the motor. So one is going to cool the Oil/Water intercooler(IE 84-85 Frist Gen) and the other is there to cool the motor.

The temp really wont be that big of a problem, The water flow is not as high as you are thinking, 1in line is what is cooling the motor. This has show to keep the motor in the 150F Range. Witch i think is acceptable to run in.

The coupling on the motor to the jet drive is the biggest problem with this hole dam thing, Finding bearing rated around 9000(Over driving the Impeller) and Power Band belts that will also work on 4in pulleys.

If i had a dam Camera if would take some picks.

Here are some pics of another guy that has started one of these projects in a sea-doo

Was going to add that, I am trying to use as much stock stuff off of Rx-7s as i can.

I am using these parts from Rx-7's

84 Oil Cooler
93 Auto Flywheel
84-85 13B Counterweight
52mm Weber Carbs
1st gen Ignition, NON-Split spark
3rd Gen Coils, Very small and good fit

These are my Custom Built Parts

Motor mount/5Qt Oil Pan
Power Train
Intake, less Carb
Water Cooled Exhuast, Not using Atkins

I will think of more later i guess

Was going to, But had a problem with the motor when i was taring it apart. One of the Exhuast Diffusers fell out when i removed the exhuast manifold

So i switched engines, good thing all 13b's are the same size.
