Repu question

they can be found for a few hundred to many thousand, a clean semi restored truck can run for $5000+, a rust bucket that needs tons of work about $500, like any car.
they are RARE, so don't expect a bargain for something nice and clean. they were produced for 3 years, about 10,000 produced each year, at most probably about 5% still survive in some form.
i sold my '74 for $1k with no title or paperwork running but i had spent more than that in labor partially restoring it already so many would have considered it a bargain, i just needed the space back. the new owner has already sunk about $5k into it.

They made the truck for 4 years , 74-77 . And the 77 has a bigger cab ( more leg room ) .I sold my restored repu for 12,000.00 but it was a turn key car . It's a funny thing about the repu , most of the vintage guys I talk to that own a repu want to sell them . I would say the average cost would be under 2k for a non running truck and anything running just depends on the condition.Good luck

you can find them pop up every now and then, one of the forum admins was selling his last year for less than $1k up in Oregon and had most parts to get it up and running. not sure if it is still for sale though.
most rotary owners would sell their cars for the right price, unfortunately you rarely find someone with a pocket full of cash.
