Thumbs up New repu guy w/omp?

Hello all, new to the repu scene and already having fun w smog exemption (ca). In the process of updating the fuel system, and switching to premix. I replaced fp with a holley red, fpr and inline gauge. I do not know much about the motor, but I know i do not have the orig housings in the motor (new mazda logo not old) and the p.o. did not know much about what had been done to the car prior to his ownership. What i am wondering is do I have a 12a front cover or something because my omp looks just like the one I took off the 12a not like the others i have seen on t2, rew, or even se 13bs, or is this how 70's omps looked? Trying to get a block offf plate and hoping you can help and here are some pics of the omp and then random ones of the carb and motor just because it is clean right now and i gotta show someone. Thanks in advance.

The stock radiator is actually good enough as long as it is clean, its a 3row.i have put the 79-80 rx7 short 3row radiator in the trucks before and in most old schools but has to be modded a bit to fit.

Bolt in? Nothing. I've been digging for 12"x24" electric fans off an OEM something or other and I can't find anything that even has a radiator core that size.

First of all, you must get a fan shroud. That will do more for your cooling than anything.

I would suggest you take it to a radiator shop and have it rodded out and boiled. If you're really worried, have them re-core it with a copper/brass core with a higher tube and fin density.

Thanks and your right about the shroud, but I figured the shroud was hard to find so was going to get elec fans with a new radiator. Summit has a bunch around 12x 26 or maybe a pair of 12"ers.

the OMPs are virtually identical to those in the 12A engines, nothing special or out of the ordinary there.

yes the radiator is meant for towing(lol) so it will keep the engine plenty cool even on hot days.
