Replacement Motor

I have a purvis eureka with an old twin dizzy 12A in it, I have been told that it is probably from an RX2 as the starter is on top. Can anyone tell me if latter 12A motors have the same bolt pattern on the bellhousing or even 13B as I want to replace motor.

The motor is hooked up to a VW transaxle using an adaptor that allows you to use the standard flywheel and starter. I really don't care if the motor sits on a different angle as long as it runs properly. Exhaust ect. can be modified, but I would prefer a straight bolt in. I am open to suggestions.

It's a VW Beetle-based kit car. Looks like a simpler, less obnoxiously-styled Countach

Oh, if it's got a Mazda to VW adaptor for '73 and older, then you'll need a different one for the '74 and newer bolt pattern.

That's if a lower mounted starter motor will fit - not having seen the inside of a Purvis Eureka?

The info I was given on the motor is not correct ( I haven't picked it up yet ) but it is supposed to be from an RX7 even though the starter is top mounted. It is a single electronic dizzy carb motor.

Can anyone tell the type and year by the engine number 107351

thanks
Scott

Thats what I am hoping as it will make the option of rebuilding a lot more viable I hope.
I am sure I will need lots more advice as rotaries are totally new to me although I have always wanted one ( must be the old two stroke motocrosser in me )
