Amazing when compared to gas. Propane is pretty much gas 'fumes'
so highly combustable with maximum burn off. You'd be looking at
about 1:1.5 comapred to gas which is incredible.

There was someone on nopistons I think that was doing a propane conversion write up but I never saw it finished. Yea I wondered why he had to cut the hood too. I wish it was closer so I could drive it, of course I only wanted to "test drive" the repu I have now....

propane is all about numbers...Propane burns alot more cooler and alot more efficiantly, which in turn gives he/she the better gas millage...There was a special on the speed channel about a chevelle that was built for street strip and daily driving custom built for propane and nothing but propane...Car was damn fast...

I have a 65 Chevy C-60 2-1/2 ton grain truck that I bought from some old farmer. It's dual fuel. Flip the switch under the dash and it runs on propane only. Propane tank was empty when I bought it so I never tried it out. Odd thing is, even though it has what I believe is a 327 V8, it has a tiny 1 barrel carb.

If I knew/understood more about the dual fuel setup, it wouldn't be that hard to convert most any gasoline engine. From what I've seen on the C-60, it seems simple enough to do. Hardest part would sourcing/tuning the correct carb that would work with both fuels.
