NJ Picking up an Rx2, Rally or high hp beast??

Hi ladies and gents, picking up a rolling rx2 for dirt cheap and not sure what to do to it. Body is straight with little to no rust. I have my drivetrain in my fc i would be willing to swap, but i also think it would make a sick n/a rally car. There are currently a couple n/a motors locally that i could get fairly cheap.

Need some opinions, criticisms are also welcome

Budget is whatever but i am capable of doing most work myself

So let me get this straight, you're between street car and rally car? Personally I'd just base it on how complete the car is, if it has a full interior and all the trim I'd lean towards street car, if its pretty stripped I'd go the other route. Do keep in mind that finding suspension parts isn't the easiest thing, so if you do go rally you will have to modify a lot.

I'd stick to a chevy mate. Leave the the Rx2 to the true rotary enthusiasts.

Here here, I echo what RX2fan said. That's good advice.

Ooo ok so because i own a chevy im not a rotary enthusiast.. ok so the countless hrs or mass amounts of my hard earned money I have put into my rx7 is meaningless. The halfbridge 13bt In it have must have pistons I guess.

Anyway... Thanks for the comments and the car is full interior but its a little rough, suspension shouldn't be a huge problem because i think i could fab up something to help. I'm honestly just on the fence with both setups.

Well you could always meet somewhere in the middle like autocross. Sounds to me the car is pretty complete, but pics would help.
