I often hear people going on about the new RX7...here's the deal:
They see a 93-95, and assume because they have yet to see any/many, plus because they are so awesome (modern) looking, they think that they are the new RX7.
Same type of thing used to happen when I had my 90 300zx. A policeman (while giving me a ticket) accused me of lying when I told him my car was a 90 model.

Actually the 4 Gen RX-7 will be in production in Japan around the end of 2003. The US version will appear around 2004. No word on the engine config yet. The new design concept drawing just come out in Japan. So it may change a lot until the real thing go in production. It's will use the RX-8 engine, but don't know it will be a Turbo charged one or N/A one.

Thanks,
I was telling him the same thing, that he was probably refering to the 3rd gen but he kept on arguing saying that it was a newer version so I said maybe you are talking about the rx8. But who cares this guys talks a lot of **** he was telling me that hes looking at buying a brand new M5. right now hes driving a 96 cavalier non z24 automatic all riced out, oh yeah i can see him getting a new m5 working at the gas station. hahaha
