You got one of the best 12A's in the RX2 , but ditch those huge 74 safety bumpers ! Keep us updated.

I love these American bumpers lol I'm trying to work on her as much as possible, hard working 55+ a week lol.

Some questions.

1: lowering suspension? Where, how, what? Lol

2: getting the 4x110 bolt pattern to a more manageable 4x100?

3:glass replacement. I need a windshield and rear Window replaced. Anyone have luck where I can get them?

wow its been a while, so not much to udate about. been really pushing to buy a home so money has been "restricted" lol from car mods until our house is finalized. still starting the beauty up once a week, and still trying to source parts lol

Found a way to put coilovers on it which i'm super excited about! still looking for a good set of 4x110 wheels, and also trying to find out where i can buy Shocks from! i'm still getting used to the "Classic" parts buying lol man it makes you work hard! lol.

well. if anyone has any leads on good places to buy shocks, and wheels. PLEASE feel free to leave a note here lol. and for those who have 74 Rx2 Sedan Parts cars. Leave a note here also, may be hitting you up for parts soon!

should be easy to find dampers/shocks for this.

koni i'd recommend, monroe (Aust.) will do them.

if you're going to lower the rear a heap remember that you have a panhard rod to deal with. too low and the rod will push the whole diff off centre unless you adjust its length.

2's have the best rear suspension of all the early rx's (4 link as opposed from dodgy leaf springs) but that means there's a bit more work and thought needed when changing the geometry.

also, don't ditch the bumpers, keep that factory look.

i can't find them anywhere! if you know where PLEASE tell me lol.

Thank you for that info, i completely forgot about the 4 link setup. i'll definatly take that into consideration.

and the Bumpers are staying. i LOVE them lol i'm hoping i can save the rear bumper. it doesn't look too bad, but you never know!

Thanks! i appreciate the love. she's goig to be at her full beauty soon i hope!

Finally Put some time into my Rx2 (minor time... lol)

So, Decided i wanted to get my Clutch System working again. noticed the slave cylinder looked old. so i blamed it for the failure. ordered and new clutch slave.... got the wrong one.... reordered a fb clutch slave. beautiful! bled the system felt a little pressure.... pushed it with my foot...... bam to the floor no pressure... lol looked under the dash.... leaking from the master.

oooh man... now i gotta find one of these!?!? a quick search (amazingly!) found me a New for 50$ or a Rebuild kit for 16$. having never actually rebuilt one. i decided to try it. ordered the rebuild kit and got the parts in monday. nice looking kit, pulled the master off yesterday and started the process.

Such a easy thing to do. kit came with a updated sythetic piston which is supposed to reduce build up and scoring of the cylinder. cleaned and honed the cylinder to clear the rust out. reinstalled and bled. amazing. very happy with the process and now i have a hydralic cutch system. Pictures of the fiasco, as well as the Kits Part number for those wanting/needing to do this.

Hey Guys, Long long time since my last update. been working alot, and being dumb on my FC project.... even thought about selling my Rx2 and 84 Rx7..... stupid me right? lol

so, i started to look at my rx2. and decided that i want to get moving on it. i have a garage, and want to get it fixed. so my question..... How do i even begin to tackle that rear section?? i've included lots of pictures. looking for body guru's to help with information, or ideas. tools to buy, and what not.

i want to drive this car, i have managed to go around the block. love how it feels (even though it is no where near completed lol) BUT.... if it cannot be done safely... whats the point?

so.... my original plan was to take the car to a body shop. see if they could pull the car and straighten it back close to true. and then i would tackle the quarters, and such. looking undder the car made me think that its not too badly hit. and i may be to do it myself.... but how would i know? lol. so

fellow Nostalgic owners. i ask for your amazing help and opinions.

Should this car be saved? can i do it without the frame jig. what tools would i need? and how can i get this project going?

thank you guys. i truly appreciate the help and assistance.
