Cosmo Swap 4x120 to 4x114
Quick question can I swap my front 4x120 to 4x114 from a 1985 RX7, only two bolts that holds that part. On the real the Rotor Disk and all is one part can I fit one from the 85 RX7 or would I have to go with a 86 to 91 2nd Gen. Any Ideals out there to this this change since I cant fin any nice Rims for the Cosmo 4x120.

You can swap the front uprights, but the FB struts are much shorter. This can be partially overcome by using roll center blocks in conjunction. Also, the lower bolts that hold the spindle in place on a Cosmo are larger in diameter than an FB. This can be overcome by using sleeves on the FB bolts to prevent movement.
For the rear, you have minimal options. I am swapping in a complete GSL-SE rear end into mine. Cut off all the GSL-SE brackets, buy some universal weld on tabs online, and use the Cosmo axle as a template to line everything up. I might even use coilover rear shocks, and make an adjustable lower control arm, to eliminate the separate spring/shock combo.
If anyone else has options, let me know as well.
One other thing, there ARE wheels out there available. I have some black Diamond racing 15x8, 0 offset wheels on mine, custom drilled, full set for like $400 shipped. However, I just spoke with CCW the other day, and they can also make 4x120 wheels in any 4 lug style. Consider, however, that these are $450 per wheel.....for 15x8.

Any reason why the rear can't just be redrilled at a machine shop? Done all the time on 1st gens for 5 lug upgrades (and presumably many other cars as well). That's my plan anyway for my Cosmo.
As for the fronts, depending on your timeline with this, I'd recommend waiting for my next video if you don't intend to do this immediately. I'll be showing my solution for the front suspension which includes 5 lug.

I am waiting to hear about this. I have the GSL-SE front struts ready to go in, as well as a RE Speed FC brake conversion. So, if I wanted to, I could do the same to the rear using Currie axles, and have 5 lug all around.
