I need a little help guys. Its time to create motor mounts and tranny mounts, and bolt my 13bREW engine in. I want to use a 12A front cover on my 13bREW. Use that combo, can I use a GSL-SE 13b oil pan from a 1st gen? The guys at Racing Beat say the holes wont line up. But they also saiid the holes wouldnt line up on a 6port done the same way, but I have done it. Can I use that oil pan, or what oil pan do I need? I dont want to spend $90 on a pan just to find out it wont work. I appreciate it guys.

You can make it work. The problem with the REW is the rear mounting holes for the engine are where some of the oil pan bolts are. If you're running a steel pan just weld the holes up in the pan and drill new ones. Then you will have to plug the 14mm holes in the rear iron.

I have a GSL-SE pan if you need one.

I think most guys that use the gsl-se oil pan turn it 180 degrees and just drill the pan holes out to match the motor. You'll have to fabricate/bend a pick up tube to work though. If you search in this forum for 13b into a rx2 there are a couple threads explaining how to do this.

Here's one for you. https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...=13b+in+an+rx2

well, I wrecked my motorcycle. I was making a high speed sweeping left, and there was some gravel on the road, so the back tire came out from under me. A "low-side" as its called. The wreck put m in the hospital, which is where I am as I write this. Ive been here for 9 days now. Its nothing TOO bad really. The protective gear they have designed (should you choose to wear it) really works WELL. All my joints are ok, and no broken bones. But I did hit my head so hard, that I had a brain hemmorage, and was bleeding into my brain. Thus the required stay at the hospital. So thats the backstory.
Sitting here the last nine days in the hospital, I have realized that one, the bike wont be back in running condition in a WHILE. And two, I miss the mazda, and maybe this is a good oppurtunity for me to focus on the mazda. It has completely lost my attention this year, I have totally neglected it, and to be honest, lacked any desire t put any money into it. But unfortunately, if I do rekindle this flame, it would have to be another nitrous setup, because I just lack the desire to dump the cubic dollars required to build a turbo car. Carbs are so much cheaper. I dont know, just throwing my thoughts out there. When I get out of this damn hospital, I am gonna crunch numbers and see if I can make this a reaity.

Glad to hear your ok and not seriously hurt. Why don't you just build a pport setup. You can easily get into the 11's+ just N/A without nitrous.

Jeez!! Not again. You really do need to find another hobby... this crash test dummy impersonation thing is starting to get old.

On a serious note though, I'm glad you're OK.
