That "RX-9" photoshop in the article looks more like a Z car or a GTR than a 7...

It needs a more clearly defined cockpit to be a 7.

didn't really know what else to put? i mean it was originally posted as something that someone photosopped as being a "speculated rx-9". i think that qualifies as a speculatory mazda sportscar, no? i'm not saying its legit in anyway, just using that as a distinction between the 2 photos for comparison. chill.

i think it looks too much like the 350z/g35/Rx8....what happened to the low profile look of the FDs?? There will never be a successor unless they come with 20b turbo motor pushing gobbs of power...like 400+ to compete with the gtr skyline..etc...

just my two cents

thats what i mean. the "rx-9" is the "mazda concept sportscar"

just so we're clear: the alfa c8 IS the car that was posted as a "rx-9", which is the "speculatory mazda sportscar" that i reposted next to the solstice for comparison.

also, a 20b would be awesome in any car, but i'm not sure if mazda is leaning towards that way at all. as shown with the rx-8, mazda seems to be moving further and further from a true rotary sportscar. lots of people have talked about the revival of the REAL rotary sportscar (i.e. the return of the rx-7 or a monster rx-9) but i just don't see it happening. don't get me wrong, i'm on the same page as everyone else, i want a new rx-7 or at the least a real succesor to it, not a just a luxury car with a sporty body (rx-8), and i'd be just as glad as everyone else when and if it happens, but the continual extinguishment of new rx-7 rumors coupled with all of mazda's latest concepts and again coupled with the limited revisions of the rx-8 have made me doubtful.....
