I had to get all my poly bushings for my rx2 from australia. It's hard to find any parts for our old school cars here in the US.

the latest

Everyone who ownes a old school has seen this rust that formes under the battrey, I've used 50 pound bag of kids white play sand to blow all the surface rust away it had been treated by one of the previous owners now I hope I've finshed the deal for good and the battery was also moved to the trunk by a previous owner---MadChad.

Omg

I've been looking for a 13b motor to power my dream. so meny choices and I've have the time but now I just went through the fugley. for a laymen like myself that has his head in his *** when it comes to knowing the way around a rotary I feel stuck I dont have money to make a poor or uneducated guess with. I am good in collecting information so damm good that I'll put myself into a corrner.
Now I know that Mike would set me up with his rep. people and I should fallow the the person that broght this dream to me (Mike would not sleep at night knowing he did wrong to anyone).back to the story so how do we now what the hell we are buying, excuse me can I do a compression test on that motor as it sits on the crate or floor? or hay can I pay top dollar for that piece of **** you got stuck with. then after you buy that turbo that can be tuned by a tunner @ 20 p.s.i. and 500 hp, you find out that the stock ecu is not going to work and its going to require a Aus. built ecu at a cost of 1000 up to 5000 in parts and eletronics.F*#K I'm confused. can I just cut a hole in the floor and flintstone this motherfu#ker---MadChad.

motors???

hey chad whats up?? The car is looking good. I can set you up with the distributor in l.a. and they generally compression check them when they get tho the u.s. because the labor is cheaper than japan. I am not usre but you may be able to walk through and pick the one you want, i don't know? depending on when we get ahold of him he may not have any rotarys at all. at least he would be semi local if there was a problem. also he usually gets uncut wiring harness and ecu and usually stock units. I have seen some with upgraded clutches and even a couple with upgraded turbos but for the most part they are stock.

OR.....you could go the blasfimus route that I was gonna go, and I am sure everyone on this forum is glad you won't, I would bet money he has a good nissan sr20 all ready to go. but that would just be silly but easy two hundred hp with stock turbo and stock ecu. but as I am sure many will say "no soul!!!"

Good luck with the future endevours on the car and keep us posted and let me know on the motor thing I will do my best to try and get you hooked up.

motor

It looks like I'm going with a 13b six port thats street ported fully polished and fresh rebuild .n/a with either a weber downdraft or holly. I thought alot about the turbo but knowing me I'd just get in over my head and it would be another unfinished project. keep it simple stupid. besides the look of this set up kicks ***---MadChad.

motors???

Sounds like it will be a kick *** set up with a nice set of individaul carbs. webber, holley, or whatever would look awsome under the hood of that car. I personally like the looks of a well done "tucked" old school motor over the looks of a newer motor, with all the vacumm lines and tubes and wires all over the place is very busy. That car would look good with either, but I fully understand sticking with what you are comfortable working on in order to maintain the car without spending alot of money on tuning and re-tuning(because it nevr works perfect the first time) and having to pay someone else to do things that you could take care of it were carbed.

Lookinf forward to seeing more progress in the future
Later Mike.
