MadChads'77rx3sp

I'm bringing this over from what started as a wtb thread. Its a beautiful 1977 rx3sp. I purchased it from Mike a guy that not only sold me the car but also trailered it to my house in so-cal from Boise Idaho 800 miles one way! (way cool Mike). It has been flared and has I think a ( correct me if I'm wrong )a '95 BMW nose on it and the rear spoiler was changed for a larger spolier.the inside was unmolested just no rear seat and the sp center console was removed. it has very little rust and the odo. reads 38k. it had been used for some kind of racing.the engine and trans was removed just before purchasing it but thats OK its going to be updated. This is one cool car and I'll continue posting progress on this thread.---MadChad.

plans

First get the sp stuff back on it like the tail lights purchased last week along with the back seat. the center console is in the works.the engine is up in the air still, leaning to a RE turbo.even though nothin beats the look of a NA with a set of downdrafts---MadChad.

It's from out of state, and may not have been in the system in quite some time. Can't he get away with registering it as a 75?

Talking

nice job getting the pictures up and on the sig looking good. the keys should be there soon if not already. whats with the smog thing?? is 1975 a cut off year in california for something?? either way it should meet 75 emmisions standards with a properly tuned fuel injected turbo motor . if not screw em we'll register it up here and put idaho classic plates on it and it gets a emmisions waver because you're not supposed to drive more than 2500 miles a year. still most states consider everything over 25 years old its considered a classic and treated a little different, but maybe not in cali. we imported a 1981 nissan laurel drove it on the boat in japan, drove it off the boat here, brought home, and registered with no problem because it is older than 25 yrs, but again i do live in idaho. i consider that one of the many benifits. anyway blahblahblah keep us posted on the car.

mike

Very sharp car... and clean. Good luck with the project!

And my apologies for getting a bit off topic- but what's Mike's last name? He looks awfully familiar to me, but I have no idea where from... I've never been to Sevenstock or any gatherings out his or your way....

Neal.

What did you do to get the lights looking so good. And as for the comparison against the saturn, i have a 99 saturn and it is comfortable and sporty to drive, you do have to fall into the thing, very awkward.
