Looking for an RX-3

Hello,

I'm looking to purchase an RX-3 coupe. I would prefer a 1977-1978 SP, but I would consider all models and years. I'm looking with a straight, rust free body. I'd prefer if it were a strong runner, too, but I do intend to eventually swap in a 13B.

I live in Pennsylvania, so obviously I'd prefer something in the northeast but for the right car I'd be willing to fly out and pick up or have it shipped.

Any assistance (or advice!) you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
John Latshaw

Okay, I've gotten a couple bites but nothing that really caught my eye. I'm pretty much opening the search up to any RX-3 coupe, any year. Strong preference for things in the Northeast.

BTW, you are not going to find to much here in the NE. most of these cars are out west (washington, oregon). dont be afraid of having the car shipped. it may be worth it for you. say you pay $800 to have a NICE one shipped, or find a bondo/rust queen around here. its gonna cost you more than shipping to get that bucket of bolts looking the same. just something to consider.
another thing...what is your goal with this car. if it is race, the r100 shell would be perfect. it is all ready for a tube frame. already got quote from very reputable builder for $3500 and can give you fiberglass pannels that are missing from it.

HEY HEY, I HAVE A 78 SP WITH A 12A STREET-PORT, HEADERS, RACING BEAT MUFFLER, RIMS & ORIGINAL LOUVERS. IT DOES HAVE SOME RUST IN THE NORMAL PLACES BEHIND THE REAR FENDER WELLS AND IN THE TRUNK. ORIGNAL PAINT & DECALS (ORANGE & BLACK). I HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT SELLING IT FOR AWHILE (I DON'T DRIVE IT ANYMORE). CLEAR TITLE IN WA STATE.

Well any plans have to be put on hold until I find out what's going to happen with a ticket I got in NJ... it could be bad news for my insurance.
