Just made a little purchase (3 Cars)

I just got home from adopting three new family members. Two RX-2's and one R100 from a guy across town. The RX-2's have some rust problems but I hope I can repair them. The R100 seems to have a fairly nice body but no engine or tranny. It will be the first one to get sanded and primed just to keep it from going bad. Then I'll have to start putting some stuff together for the other two.

If anyone knows of any killer deals on 13B engines and/or trannys let me know. I would really like to put a Turbo II in the R100 since it is missing the original and there isn't much use in going back to stock.

I am going to pick up the cars next Sunday and I will take some pictures and then try to find someone with a scanner. Since I haven't bought a digicam yet. I will try and post pics with updates everyonce in a while.

Later,

Here is an r100 that was on ebay. It has some photos, so have a look at them. I have been told they are about 20 to 25% smaller then a rx2.

You can see a bunch of R100's on my page. Just click the link "mazda models" at the bottom of the page and scroll down a ways.

You probably have seen one and didn't know it. Abel Ibarra's R100 is probably the most famous old school Mazda ever:

There is a guy in the NW forum that is selling a few 13b's and trannys... pretty cheap... I think the thread there on now is "1st gen parts for sale cheap last time" or somthing like that...

rxrotary2_7: How much do you want for your 10A? I was going to just use a later engine 'cause I thought it might be cheaper.

I'll have to go check on the NW forum for those parts.
I will try and take some pics on Sunday when I go pick them up. I don't know when I'll be able to scan them though.

Later all,
Josh

Well I guess I shouldn't count my chickens before they hatch. I only got one RX-2 and the R100. The fellow couldn't find the title for the other one so I will have to wait on that one.

I will upload pics as soon as I finnish the roll in my camera and get it scanned.

I am going to be looking for a couple of T2s and probubly a NA 13B for the RX-2.

I have to wait untill I finnish putting the engine back in my 4Runner and get it out of the garage. Then I'll start pulling the Mazdas in and stripping them down.

I'll probubly set up a website following the progress.
Does anyone know of a good place that doesn't have popups and gives you decent space?

Later all,
Josh
