rx2 parts

I just did a search for rx2 parts or websites where i could find parts, but I only came up with 1 website. Im interested in buying an rx2 from this guy that lives near my house for $400.00 and he has a lot of parts, but Im going to need a few parts. What im asking is if you guys know of a website or a place where I can find rx2 parts. The only website that i found was classicgarage.com and i did find a couple of parts there. I was just wondering if you guys had anymore information.

What kind of parts do you have rxrotary2_7?..
Do you got any S2 Parts for a 72

Right now, I am talking ot a guy in AU that has a S3 valance panel from a 74 rx2. I was wondering if that would be the same as a S2 valance panel for a 72 rx2. Or are the both diff?..

Hmmm... I know we dont need another person to chime in with something unrelated, but Kick: Do you think this guy has many 74 RX2 parts? If so could you hook me up with his info? How about you rxrotary2_7? I am in need of a few and unfortunately, the 74 parts are even HARDER to find than regular years.

If the car does not have a lot of rust $400 dollars is really cheap and you can get back your money just selling the parts. I am surprised you front that in Tampa because the rotor guys especially the Iland folk here love rotors. Really I have a 72 RX2 and you have to customize everything to make it fit but I have bought a lot of parts from Aussy land and the freight is usually more than the parts. Excuse the spelling

By the by, would a S3 RX-2 be the 74 variety? I did not know there where three different series of RX-2. Those crazy Aussies...

The car doesnt have much rust, its actually minimal for the age of the car. The hood is the worst thing about everything, it has like 2 small holes, but other than that the rest of the car is in good shape and pretty squared up. I was actually shocke myself to hear about the car too. So far I will definitely need to find the rear bumper for the car and also the windshield and the back window, but I have to get the car though. By the way, is anyone here interested in bying an '84 rx7 w/o the engine, just the car. It has a brand new rug, but has not been installed and the car has only a few dings, all the seats look pretty good, the car is in good shape, but I have to get it out of there. I will sell it, but it has to be local pick up only though. If anyone is interested or know of anyone who would be interested, please let me know, thanks.

Yeah Madman, a S3 is a 74. S3 stands for series 3, just if you didnt know. It sounds like they had 3 or 4 different series. Like 70-71 are series 1, then you got 72-73 series 2 and nexted you got 74-? series 3. But I think they had a series 4, but dont know 100%. Here is something buzz posted a lil bit ago about there Rx2s over in Au..

In Australia we didn't get the twin headlight, twin tail-light model: we only got the square headlight, twin tail-light version (that we call the series 1). I also don't think we got that model bonnet/hood (the large raised centre without vents) on our rx2s (coupes or sedans) all were vented, and the twin head light, twin tail light (also known here as the "series 2) has the much flatter bonnet. Our "series 3" rx2's (twin head lights and "dog-bone" styled rear tail-light arrangement) had the bonnet with the raised centre, but it was vented.

Interestingly, our glove-box doors had a "Capella RE" badge on them (or was it Mazda RE...). Strangely, notice how the fuses are over on the right hand side of the dash?... thats where they are on the right hand drive models as well.

We also didn't have "Mazda RX2 " badges on the rear quarter panels - our badge reads "Capella"
Its kind of neat all the different kinds of stuff. But you cant call Aussies carzy cuse of it. I belive its the same way in japan with all the series...

That forum is really cool, Has a lot of really nice people that will asnwer just about anything you post. You also see a lot more posts about older mazda parts. A lot of rotary guys on there and a lot of older mazdas too. Like that guy I hooked you up. I might get his S3 front valance, for 150AU dollers. That is about 75 usa dollers. Here is what he sent me about it, listed below in the quotes. Could you guys tell me what you think about it and dose it sound like its a good deal or I should pass it up. I have been told a S2 will fit a S3..

AUS $150 for valance plus freight.cant get pics sorry.valance is very good.has slight damage thru one of the small openings below grill.nothing to major tho

Fellas, there is 4 different series of RX2's. Im not sure on the dates exactly but n Japan they made the RX2 from 1970 till 1978!!
Here is a pic of a series 4 RX2 sedan...http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...item=753764947
Notice that the grill is a mix of RX3 (headlight surrounds), RX2 (horizontal lines in grill) and RX4 (grille badge similar as RX2 sedan.)

Wow, I have never seen that front on an rx2, it looks like a rx3 front bumper too? Which rx2 do you guys like better, a 2 door or a 4 door. I used to like the 2 but I am really starting to like the 4 now that I have seen quite a few nice ones in Australia. I don't know which one to get.

I've always personally liked the 2 door rx2. For some reason I never liked the 4 door, it just never got my attention.

I think that the 2 door and the 4 door are very nice cars and every series of RX2 looks killer! Yep, the bumper is same as RX3 im pretty sure! The RX2 coupe was obviously very popular in the US because ive seen heaps of them on the net! The RX2 sedan is more popular over here and they didnt sell many coupes.
