Ideal spring rate for Rx4 coupe

Recently acquired a 1974 Rx4 coupe with an RE Speed coilover GSLSE front suspension. Looks like 300lb springs are on it and its too stiff for my paved back road cruising. Being leaf sprung rear, im not sure how to balance the car out well for spring rates. Tempted to drop down to 250# and see how that works out, but certainly open to suggestions.

ill give the 225 a whirl and see how it goes. I was trying to find what the stock rate was for the Rx4 but couldn't find it.
