how much is it worth???
74 RX-3, excellent body conditions however it needs paining, 12A street ported, Dellorto side draft, double sheave main and alternator pullies, Racing Beat wires, racing clutch, 4 puck disk, 3.90 LSD.Interior is inmaculate, has everything for the A/C, just needs freon. Has run the 1/4 in 14.5 with street tires. Ned to sell, have no idea of how much to ask.

I'd be interested but would like to see more photos. It's hard to say what it's worth, I've seen RX-3s in all price ranges. Interested in trading for a RX-2? I have a '71 coupe and '73 sedan I am trying to sell currently.

I sold my RX3sp a couple of years back and got $3500 for it and two parts cars. Any good RX3 tub ought to be at least worth $2000. I am sure there are those that think that is rediculous, but a complete one is worth it to someone who is ready to drive and not spend time sourcing out parts to get it on the road or track. You guys now what I mean by good. Complete and minimal rust. One with that and all the things you mentioned is probably going to come close to the price I got. Good luck.

Ya I would say right in that 3-3.5 k range but probably real close to 3k though. If there is minimal rust and a good engine then you start to look at how complete the car is: interior, paint etc. My opinion is that these old rotary's maximize their value in either 2 conditions. The first is bone stock original. Original engine with very low mileage like under 50k. under 20 is very good. This way they are realy collectible and can be value at well over 5k. An r100 in this condition i think would be valued at over 10k. The second would be highly modified like a race car or seomthing. Then they become valuable because they have so much on them but are not wanted by the collectors who like a good example of a car as they came from the dealership. I think that this way of thinking apply's to most old school rotary's: r100, 2,3 and not so much the 4 or 5. As always there are the cars that fall in between and these would be all of the cars that i listed but with say kinda high milage you know like over 100k etc. have had multiple engines, some performace parts likea carb or header. and are neither race cars knore a REAL colctors car. and most often these cars are sold in that same rang of any where from 1000 dollars to 5 thousand dollars. Do you guys aggree with my reasoning?

Well, the car is in excellent conditions, save the paint. It actually has just about every performance part that there is possible to bolt on it. The interior is near mint condition and the engine got a complete rebuilt about three years ago and I have only put in it about 5K miles since the rebuilt. I just lost my job and it has to go, I'm triying to get an idea as of how much should I ask for it.

just keep this in mind.
the rules have changed for (i believe its) the nhra
only a mazda body can run a mazda motor,
so all the guys with datsuns, toyota starlets and the like are going to need a mazda body. if you hold out, you may be able to get more being as the rx3 is the "best/most popular" choice. good luck

I'd swear that silver RX2 was one that I owned at one time. But it couldn't be it, it was being snatched up from where I left it by a gigantic magnet at the local metal recycler last time I saw it.

Just make an offer. I need to put a header on it so it can be started up. I have the original wheels, but the tires are ****. Car comes with 4 more doors, two rear diffs and another tranny too. Also about 9 fairly large boxes of parts.
