I've got a 73, 2 door, bright yellow in pretty good shape. 74K original miles. Currently getting an engine swap (84 12A plus 5 speed manual).
Other than the engine/tranny it's all original. Pics at my website.

I have a '73 - 4 door I just picked up. I also would like to know about other rx2 owner's suspension mods. If I remember correctly, the rx2 will accept rx7 front struts if you swap the cross member with one from an rx3. Any body know if the brake caliper brackets Rotary Engineering used to sell work on a rx2 as well as the rx3? I have the drawings to make some if they do.

Hey Bill, I wouldn’t mind seeing your drawing for those caliper brackets. I don’t know about the rx7 front struts though. I read something like this on an AU forum. There were many people that didn’t like it and had some good reason. I wish I could find the link to that topic. A lot of people where talking about that camber problems you would and could have.
I haven’t done any suspension mods yet on my car, so I would like to hear about what some people have done and how it works. I do know I would like to fit some coil-over’s from http://www.ground-control.com on some kyb's or KONI's if I could find them. I would like a better front and rear sway bar. But other then that I have no idea. I would like to stay with the stock rear end, but I have been told if I stuff a 13b with some nice power. I would need to update that to something better.
Hey, lets all post what you need for parts and what we got for parts too. I bet some of us here would like to know and maybe even have something’s that might help others out. I have something’s I need and would like to get, but I really need to try to get a 1972 S2 rx2 front valance.

Thank you for that PM Billy.
I already emailed that guy about the valance when I seen it on eBay. I was thinking about hitting Bye it now and then find out how I would get the 149-doller’s for it. But I missed out on it. I will just have to keep my eye out for one still..
I sent you a PM Billy..

I own a 1975 Mazda 616 - essentially an RX-2 but the piston variant.
It runs a 13B J-Port with Weber 48IDA (none of this filthy Holley crap) 2nd Gen 13BTurbo gearbox stock locked diff.
Sits on 17x6.5 & 17x7 Simmons FR17's.
Any 616's in America?

I have joint ownership in an orange 1972 RX-2 here in the UK. Unfortunately it's got a 1600 ford engine in it atm *puke*.
It's quite a find since there were only 223 originally registered.
We're going to put a 12a 1st gen engine/gearbox in it because they are easy to get hold of (although I know where some original twin dizzy end plates are) and then maybe at a leter date rebuild a proper RX-2 style 12a.
Alternatively, I've just pulled the engine out of my fd. Hmmmm. *grin*
Adler.

I have a '73 RX2, 2dr and a '74 RX2, 4dr. Both bodies are in excellent condition and sitting in my garage. Both have the engines removed. I have dreams of bridge porting the 2dr and turbo-ing the 4dr (both 13B). They are both yellow. I have the WA license plate "WANKEL" for the 2dr. I've conviced my wife that they are "his and hers". With that move I've secured financial backing. I also have a 69 Datsun 510 with a street ported 13B with an Eldebrock 1404 Performer Carb, RB Header and presilencer and electronic distributor.

How many people here have the stock power antenna on their car? I was looking over some photos of an owner's manual for a 72 rx2 that someone had scanned. On one of the pages it shows this power antenna switch. Well my car has that very switch and I have been trying to think of what that little bugger could be used for, well now I know. Later today I am going to throw a battery in my 2 and see if it works..

Here you go.
Here is that topic that I talked about, where some people where asking about RX7 struts into RX2. It’s an AU forum so they would know a thing or two about this swap, cause rotaries are big over there.
Anyways, here is the link http://ausrotary.dntinternet.com/for...&highlight=rx2
Hope this helps.
