Have pondering this for quite some time....
I have pondering this for quite some time, but due to some recent illogical objection I have been all but challenged to do so:

My plan is to obtain a fairly well traveled Porsche 928, more than likely a late model, and perform the Wankel Swap; creating what I have deemed the immaculate essence of German Engineering. An automotive nirvana if you would. Since I am about waist-deep in a 944 project car already, as well as assisting my brother with his FC (yes the one I bought a while back? long story,) this is not going to be an overnight thing. I haven?t even yet a projected completion date. But the 944 should be done within the next year, giving me ample time to concentrate on this project. Her code name right now is 926, being that and assuming all goes as planned (and my company doesn?t decide to randomly downsize), I think I can fit a full 26B Twin Turbo under her hood; however this can and may change for may reasons. Needless to say I am highly excited about this idea.
Just to clear the air: Do not attempt to talk me out of this, the actions will only persuade me further; I am not looking for your approval. I just want to know exactly how many people are interested in this idea. Of course throughout the process I will make a guide to doing so, for those interested further.

hey i think itd be pretty cool. i usually dont like swaping engines form one automaker to another, but it'd make a killer car in the twisties. swaping in a tiny rotary will make it handle waay better.

That's interesting my friend has always wanted me to build him an engine for a 914. I've seen V6 conversions and also have seen a small block V8 conversion once at a show. It was a tight fit but it was in there and the guy drove it in. A rotary in a rear drive/engine combo would be interesting I might have to take him up on that proposition. Just a thought.

Building a viable 26B would be your biggest problem. I've always secretly wanted to weld two pairs of rotors together as well as two pair of housings, then frankenstein-together an e-shaft, and have a long 2-rotor 26B. Porting would have to be pretty beefy, but it should work just fine. Now that I know I'll never have the resources to do it, I'd love to put a crazy thought in someone else's head.....

That guy is a douche wad. If you have the means, you should build it and then send him pictures. One of the only things that's kept me going with my rebuild project was a guy just like that. I asked a local shop what they use to take off the flywheel locknut and he told me i was an idiot over my head... so i built my own 1 to 10 torque multiplier.

Come on now, read carefully. I said that a viable 26B would be tough. Damn, dude. Between managing the deformation of a 4-lobed, 2-piece e-shaft and the space in a 944, of course it will be tough, but I never said not to do it or called anyone an idiot.

Since a swap would mean you'd have to do a few custom things anyways, it seems obvious you'll work on the intake and exhaust side of the engine. Without porting or simular, a NA should be able to push 180hp, a TII can deliver 300-350hp. That's not even with a ported engine.
20B's can be build for reliable 500-600hp, even more is done. If he can get his Porsche to do this, let me see
