How do RX-2 headlights work?
After finally cutting my frame endcaps to accept my 71-73 front valence, I started testing all the wiring. When the headlight stalk is in the up position, I get all 4 headlamps on and don't see how to toggle them off (without blindly pushing and pulling things). How do you toggle between high and low beams?
Hey Crit!!
Hey Crit,
Curious? How's that Weber IDA Setup you have work? Does the car run smooth @ Idle? Is it a bitch to start? Do you have a Choke on it? Reason i'm asking is I have A Hitachi 4Bbbl w/ Mech Secondaries & no Friggin Choke. It's a Bitch to keep it runnin when it's cold! I have to sit there with my Foot on the Gas til it Warms up!
I see you have a Dellorto Set-up For Sale...What's the story with that? Didn't like it? Just Curious cause I'm actively shopping for the perfect Set-up for My 4 Port 13B.

I'd PM you about this, but it might actually be helpful to others. I've run the following on my 4-port 13B:
Dellorto DHLA 48
Weber 51 IDA
RB-modded Holley 465 vacuum
RB-modded Holley 465 mech
OEM Hitachi
Nikki on the Hitachi manifold
Of those, the Holley was the simplest and BY FAR the easiest to maintain w/ respect to parts. The Dellorto was the most streetable and made very good, smooth power (choke and better progression than weber) and easiest to tune (you can change jets with the car idling on a dyno!!!) once you finally found the parts needed, and the Weber is the all-out power king. The Weber also sounds pretty nasty and will look wicked once it's breathing through my hood. The Dellorto got removed simply because the Weber came with my car and is more fun to play with, but it's horrible to keep running (though it starts on the first rev every time) until it's warm.
My full Dellorto setup is available to a new home by clicking in my sig. I also have a Holley 4-port 13B intake manifold in the garage if someone's looking for one.
By the way, the Hitachi sucked, and the Nikki did alright.

Did someone remove the choke butterfly and linkage from the Hitachi 4Bbl? They could be added back in. Or might be able to fab up some generic choke linkage, hook the choke cable up to it. That would give your right foot a break at least.
