TX Good or bad Idea

So long story short, I found a 66 mustang in great condition. Runs fairly well for it's age, and I have my hands on a eunos cosmo 3 rotor. My idea is to go ahead and do some heart surgery on the stang and implant the cosmo engine into it. I've been told it's a stupid idea. I'd just like some feedback, will get pics up if I decide to do this. Again, it's just a thought.
