Fun idea. Try not to puke.

I've always also been a fan of old AMC's. Gremlins, Pacers, Ramblers, all of 'um.

Why not a turbo 13b swap?

Pacers were supposed to have GM rotaries in them. Not sure about the rest. Please put a turbo 13B in a pacer.

Is there anything someone won't try and pass off on ebay? I thought the government confiscated and disposed of all the pacers in the mid eighties

I have thought that a 12A in a Metropolitan would make a fun car. As I understand it, the Metropolitan chassis is the same as a Bugeye Sprite. If so, all the suspension mods available for Bugeyes combined with a somewhat modified 12A would give you a car with a curb weight of about 1200 lb. that would surprise a lot of people.
