fuel pressure regulator

Is is ok to run a the stock nikki carb with an electric fuel pump and an inline fuel pressure regulator? My 81 12A has a return line for teh regulator and I was just wondering if this was entirely necessary. As long as I get the proper pressure at the end of the line I should be fine right?

yes you can run a regulator. If you have a higher pressure fuel pump than stock you definately need one. Just set it for 3 psi. and you'l be alright.
