Fender Mirrors Finally

So I was so tired of looking at everybody's nice *** fender mirrors. I finally pulled the trigger on a sweet deal from my local Toyota dealership here in the Springs. After seeing them on ebay, I decided to call the dealership just to get a quote on them. Luckily for the guy was really cool and he was into Nostalgic Cars also, he gave me a military discount 10% on each one. He also mentioned that they were in stock in a couple places in the states for example, Los Angeles, Kentucky, Cincinnati, and one other spot I forgot he said. So I decided to be different and order the black ones. Here is a picture of the black fender mirrors from ebay.

Here is the link were I saw them on ebay. I also don't have to pay for shipping and the final price after tax was $189. So I saved a little on the price and not worrying about if they will get banged on it's way from Bangkok.

They are going to go on my Cosmo pictured here

Very nice! I just recently scored a NOS Cosmo left fender mirror, in the original Mazda packaging, shipped from Australia. Now I need to find the passenger side.

To give you an idea of how rare these are, I've been looking for a set since I bought the Cosmo about 5 years ago. Now to find a passenger side. I was just about to give up and go with a generic mirror or one from another manufacturer when I just happened to find this one. Paid some money for it.

It will be interesting to see how you install them. It's my understanding that the fender mirror cars had some under-fender bracing to support the mirror.

they have a little oblong ( i was going to say football, but then we get the USDM football confused with the rest of the world.....) so there is a little oblong piece of sheet metal with two captive nuts in it under the fender.

i'm going to say you need it, although i've seen it without, because with fender mirrors everyone who walks by the car hits them.

Just hit up O'Rileys or Napa and they should have some on the floor.
Ask for part# 4412a.

You will have to jerry rig some connectors for it if you want to keep your stock plugs like I did.
I can take a picture of what I did tomorrow afternoon.
