CA Early tranny i.d please

I have an early 5 speed trans and was wondering if any experts knew what it was out of sorry no pics. Its got a ribbed case which is slanted. So when installed the body of the tranny is on an angle. Someone has rx3-sp written in permanent marker on the side but this could be wrong.

Thanks wacky you are a legend mate. I wanted to find out to make purchasing parts a little easier. My box is at my mates house so I will check it out this weekend.
