+1 on the 914; I've been tempted to try that swap for some time now. Or how about an old alfa romeo graduate? It'd be no problem to squeeze a 13b in there, and your weight balance would be amazing.

My grandmother left me her '74 914. It's a 1.8 and the motor needs to go. Other than that it's very nice. I am kicking around the idea of puting a rotary in it. A Renesis might be a good match.

Wow, this thread is getting long.

I have been dreaming of making a 13b MR2, but since the engine spins the wrong way I don't think anyone wants to invest the 15k to make it work. Just image if I could make it work, a 300HP turbo 13b in my SW20.... but I am looking to go the quad cam V6 route if I keep the car.

I agree with the 914 or MG ideas, there was a 13b midget at an autocross I was watching that dominated just about everything out there. A Z car would be cool too... I don't know who thinks they are too heavy, my 240Z only weighed just over a ton with me in it... unless your talking about a Z32, but then your talking about a whole different type of car.

There are currently three 1980 Carollas on eBay. Idaho, New York and Georgia. Another idea for a conversion is a diesel pickup. I know in most states they are not required to go through smog or inspection so you can do whatever you want to them. No engine swap paperwork to file or smog equipment to figure out. Not that I am for polution, but, a clean fuel injected 13B has got to be cleaner than an old diesel.
