I know of guys whom have successfully put 12A powerplants into suzuki samurais.

Fun little rock crawler after that.

120:1 Final Drive, 1st gear, low range is usually enough.

I owned a samurai for a long time. I have no idea how that would fit. The guys who did the 2 rotor engine swaps were having to cut alot to make room.

Heres a few from nz. The Mazda ute is a common one and so is the '74 1200 but the green honda is more rare. (Best thing for a honda too i might add!)

my friend did a 20B into a B2600, the 20B is about the same length, but its about half as tall, probably triple the power, and it was such a sleeper he did a burnout in front of the line to get into sevnstock and nobody noticed it was a 3 rotor....

i've seen MG midgets, and Triumph spitfires. the MGB and Tr3 should be good too.

i've seen 510's, and Miata's.

i recall seeing an 13B BMW 325 in a magazine in the 90's, that would be super easy to do, and it would drop like 500lbs off of the front of the car. inline 6's sound nice, but its a heavy engine.

i've seen pics of a samurai.

the Rx8 is a good candidate too

G'day

Lets face it any car is going to be better with a rotary, it is just some are not worth the bother.
I have a Morris Minor with an injected 6 port 13B and 4 speed auto out of a s5 RX7, 40s shape with 90's power ( about 4 times standard).

I have seen a samurai with a 13B turbo connected to the original gearbox, not sure how long it would last.
An MGB GT with a 13B turbo would be great fun. Just about any of the older English or European cars would be good as they were built light for their small motors. So a na injected 13B like mine gives good power to weight and good usable power on the road.

A couple of Mazda conversions I have thought of but not got too yet are the 78 121L with a 13B turbo, these are a rare shape in Australia and I think has aged better than the RX5 shape 121. The other is the early to mid 90s 929 saloon with a 20B,
I like the shape and with 200+rwkw would be a great drive like a 4 door Cosmo.

Cheers
Graham

I went with an Austin and 13B, pretty easy conversion with tons of after market support available.

I'd like to see someone do a rotary s2000..
I've thought about doing it, but Dutch regulations make it almost impossible to swap a rotary in any car produced after 1997

its possible here, but the engine would have to be the same year as the car or newer, so Rx8 engine, and it needs to be 100% complete too, so like stock ECU and all the trimmings, lot of work to get 238hp in a 238hp car

the 06+ Miata looks like a good home for the Rx8 engine though

^^^^cool project! a friend of mine has a 59 fiat 600 and I have been trying to convince him to go with a 12a and a vw trans since he has been having such a hard time finding a decent fiat drivetrain.
