Back in the Rotary Game
So as some of you might remember a while back I found my first rotary to build a little over a year ago and after some bad luck with a local rotary shop gave up and sold the car. Now I've met a few people that I'm confident will help me with this build and I've found the car I've always wanted. In fact this year and model was the car that first got me started in imports way back 12 years ago. I meant to pick up an RX-3 when I found my first toyota. It was just an unfortunate twist of fate that I found a TE37 Corolla instead of the RX-3. But now many years later here she is and I can't wait to get started on this one. The car is a very solid car that I found in a field about 4 months ago and after some serious work to persuade the owner to part with it she's got a new home. It's remarkably straight and very rust free. It has all of its interior intact and is in great shape. I just need to find a few trim pieces but other then that it's all there. Either way here are some pictures of my future build and 1 pic of my old RX-4 for sentimental value.
Can't wait to get this one back on the road. I miss the sound of a rotary engine.

Yeah the money has already started jumping out of the pocket book, but I'm not in the hurry to finish this one like I was with the RX-4. I think I expected too much with that car and when things didn't go the way I wanted them to I got frustrated. With this car I am in no hurry to finish it, so the results should be much different.
I can't wait to fire this one up though. I'm looking for a basic running 12a for now. Just to hear that brap again!!!

I got the GSL-SE brakes and suspension on the front of the car now. Just need to put a GSL-SE rear end under it. Or convert the rear to 4x114 bolt pattern and SE brakes.

Glad to see you are back and even better that you got what you originally wanted.
When you had that clean RX4 coupe I was always wondering why you weren't satisfied with it. Makes a lot of sense now. I did something similar over 10 years ago with some other old school rides but I'd like to think I'm a bit wiser now days. You learn a lot along the way, ehh???

Thanks for the compliments on the car. I just landed a motor for the car today. 13b 4 port street ported motor. Used, but it runs so screw it. At least I can get this pig started and driving.

Damn me and my obsessive-compulsive behavior. I couldn't leave well enough alone so I went out and get the RX-3 some friends to hang with. I'm going to sell off a few of my Yotas to make them fit.
First is the REPU. Factory A/C, 4 speed and great running all stock 13b motor. Just going to do a little work to this one and use it to do some junkyard runs and tow the RX-3 around. Should do that job nicely.
2nd up is the RX-4. Found this in a garage in L.A. Thanks ZANDER!!! You are the man!!! I'll make some threads for both of these when I get started with work on them. The RX-4 is a project for a little later day, but at least I have it now.

Wow that RX4 is so straight, and it looks like everything is there. If i were you id restore that one stock. If your gona take off the bumper rubers dont through them out. and the repu is pretty straight to, i noticed the smashed tail light on the repu and i found a site that has them new, when i find it what it was I'll let you know.
