Racing beat is your only shot at a new manifold. If you buy from them, pick up the aluminum heat shield as well - cheap and does a great job.
A common setup for large 12As or conservative 13Bs for Dellorto is 80 or 85 on starting jet and accel. pump jet, 200, 205ish fuel, 215 air.
You have 3 pairs of jets (air, fuel, accel) and the single starter jet. The air and fuel are 3- and 2- piece each, for a total of 13 total bits and pieces that determine your jetting. What porting and jets are you currently running?

i have xtra jets they are in 3 sizes big, med. and small. so the large are for fuel, med. for air, and the small are the other 5..???
the carb came with the heat shield when i bought it, i like it a lot.
i thought i might try and find a used mani before i forked over serious $ to racing beat.
something else you may know about; i hear that racing beat used a special accelerator pump gasket when they modded these carbs, a thicker one. i have fear of taking my carb apart because of this. why did they use a thicker one? can i use just a regular gasket or can i double them up?
thanks------------adam

The only reason for them to have used a thicker AP gasket is if they stroked the pump. You'll need to pull out your fuel stack, air stack, and starter jet (all iunder the choke breather cover) as well as the pump jets which are half-way down each of the barrels under a big slotted head. They're two-piece and have a D-shaped cross-section. Your fuel stack is 3 pieces and your air stack is two. Give me the numbers of all those jets and we'll see where you stand.
Again, what's the porting like for the motor?

There are 50 or so sizes. Dellortos went on a wide range of vehicles, so jets are available all across the spectrum. The size is in 100ths of a millimeter diameter, so a 50 jet is half mm in diameter (the nozzle). Your main fuel jet is just a little conical cap that goes on the end of the emulsion tube (the two and a half incher) with the holder at the top. Your
11 Air Corrector
9 Emulsion tube (should be swiss-cheesed and marked w/ .8)
5 Main fuel jet
12 Idle Holder
6 Idle Jet
7 pump jet
10 Starter E-tube
8 starter jet
I'm sure you'll need to rejet the carb, but let me know what you've got for main jet, air corrector, idle, e-tube and starter jet.
I expect you've got 80 pump jet, 180 air, 210-220 mains, but double check all that if you would. There's a shop in Cali that I can hook you up with, but we need to know what your jets are gonna be first. Have you opened up the carb yet?
