aftermarket fuel pressure regulator

just wondering how to install.
im guessing the fuel pump goes to the primary fuel rail and then ran through the system and comes out of the secondary fuel rail where the fuel pressure regulator is connected to control the pressure, then the line goes back to the tank as a return...

does this sound right? its for a kit car so the tank, pump, and regulator are all aftermarket.

That would be called "series" plumbing. There is also parallel plumbing. The second gen section has a bunch of info on plumbing the fuel system on an S5 motor.
