Addco sway bars for old rotaries

Did you guys know that addco still lists sway bars for the RX-3 and RX-4? I wonder if you can still actually buy them? The REPU guys on the REPU board have said they have problems getting a response from Addco or soemthing like that. I'm also wondering, what is an RX-4 SW (listed in the addco sway bar chart)?

I just shot them an e-mail asking if they are still available and I'll let everyone know what they say. They also list bars for RX-2.

There is one of those on an rx3 that i bought. I dont think it really does very much. It is like an "extra" one. It attaches to the lower control arms and then goes back rather than forward. I think the better way to go is to get one exactly like the stock one but get it in 1 and 1/8 inch and just replace the stock one. "Quicker" used to make them in that demension for the rx3 but they no longer make them. I have one on my rx3 race car and it works really well.

That would be the RX-4 wagon.

Station Wagon...yeah...I shoulda thought of that.

Well Addco seems to have no interest in conducting business or making money...No reply to my e-mail so far.

Talk to Glen at Quickor in Oregon. He will make bars for older models very reasonably. He's a great autocross supporter, and a real nice guy. Don't let him talk you into a 1-1/8" front RX3 coupe bar, though. See if he'll do up a 1-1/16" bar for you. It will be easier to tune the rear bar to. -WG

Thanks Wankelguy.

Addco never did respond to my e-mail...pathetic.
I think they may have gone out of business.

Hey Anti,

Some companies are terrible about answering e-mails. Atkins Rotary comes to mind. I wouldn't give up on Addco though, if you have a phone # for them. What are you putting a bar on? -WG

You're right, I should try to call them. I thought I might get one for my RX-4, but they also make front and rear ones for my MX-6 (and you used to be able to order those from Autozone!)
