I am going to see my friends this saturday I will let you now what he tells me.
Sorry I just been busy looking at my car I just put on mazdaspeed 18 inch wheel It looks great!!!!!!!.
Another friend just finish a gread truck he put a 300zx diferential and a silvia engine to a 1970 datsun its really fast best time we got yesterday was 12.8, we get traction whit 10 inch wheels but the lack of weiht in the rear makes lauching very hart ( dam I need a digital camara!).
how is your project coming alon any progres?

On the older B2000 stuff, the trannies were more or less interchangable with 1st gen smoothcase trannies. Just keep the truck tailhousing and possibly the gearbox section. But change the bellhousing. Or just use a rex tranny and swap tailshafts. I don't think the driveshaft needs shortening because the point of using the B2000 tailshaft is so the stick comes up through the stock hole, and the distance from diff the tranny is still stock.
Edit: forgot to add that since yours is an '88, I'm not sure if it'll go together like the older style. I'm slightly familier with the '86 B2000.
