GAMBONE could you get a close up shot of your sidemount alternator setup and give a quick explanation on how you moved it to the side. That is something that I would like to do on car.

Is the front nosework on the car original? Was it originally a US-spec car?

Matt - My RX-2 runs a bridgeport, and I've had a number of people ask what kind of cam I have in it from the way it idles. I've thought about changing it, but yes, it's supposed to be lumpy cam.

Gambone - What did you use for throttle bodies, are they off a motorcycle?

More Candy

Founds the alt mounting pics, pic 20 is the one in the cercel and it mounts to where the AC would have gone, pic 21 shows the top adjusting arm which came from pick a part, need to get a better pic of how it's hooks up to the motor, the trick is, it usese a mounting bolt from a seat belt harness for the swing action. The rest of the pics I will be showing for some time yet are of the intake and yep I built all of it

Crit, the nose work, all it is is a tube bumper, the OEM wiegthed a ton and I needed a tow point to get it to the drages, so built into this frount bumper is a hing point for a tow bare.

What's going on

Well Matt22, this is what you are looking out in a million word or less, My Rx4 and what I did to it on less then a dollar a day for the last 15 years. These pics are of the intake system which I hand built for use with a K fuel system off of a rabbit, well that's two of them and still I need more fuel. So some where in of the pics you will see two ele nozzle which came from a Subaru. Pic # 17 shows how or what the tubes are for, they hold the nozzles

Supension

Well now I think it's time to move onto other pics. like the suspension and here we go. The frist pic is of the car being blocked up in front on one side and you will be able to see that the other front wheel is off the ground. And why is that?, well that's becoues of the realy stroung sway bar in the rear. And if you think that is swell just know that the front sway bar comes off of a S10. Yes Matt I'm nuts

I used a K-jetronic from a Volvo V6 on my 13B turbosetup.
It works really nice apart from the amount of fuel it can deliver.
I had two extra injectors and a preassurecensor, that worked really nice!

I will put the system back in the 7 wothout turbo quite soon.

BTW, where did you get the fuellines to the injectors?
Are these VW?

Mr. Magnus Berglund, I did a inter net searh, don't remember the company name, mit still have the recept, the ends are the OEM fittings cut off from the old lines and hold in place with a outter copper tube which is then slighty crimped. get better pics of this soon along with more detailed pic of the rest of the fuel system. Thank You for your quiston

Mr Gambone: If i understand correctly. The scoop on the bonnet (hood) directs air to the intercooler?

Wowee, you my good man,are not affraid to do work to your car!

I remeber finding pics of your intake manifold on the internet.(Thanks!)It helped allot with brainstorming to build my own manifold for a 4 barrel a few years ago.

I like the kjet setup!I love them, simple to keep on working, and yet very effective.

Thanks for sharing!

i have some questions about the suspension design that you have pictured.

the front looks to be of quality construction but it looks like bump steer might be a problem. the rack looks to be set pretty far back. did you make use of a double a-arm front suspension or is it a macpherson design? did you factor in the scrub radius for the front end as well? and finally, how has it performed? i'm starting a similar type of project on a GSL-SE and am looking for a good conversation on suspension design and construction.

Q and A time

Mr.GTRa7, the front end and how it is set up, becouse the 7 sub frame and A arms just wouldn't fit, (no problem in the rear) had to designe the set up my self. The most importen thing is to follow the rules of geomtry for a front end and as for handling I'm finding no problem but much improvement over the 4 stock set up. Yes it is single lower a arms with the 7 shock assy and rack. We all know how poor a 4's brakes are, well there's somthing there now that realy works.I also have taken it on a clossed coure raod track, GOOD

Mr. Karism yes that is a air scoop for the intercooler with a fan built in that runs off of a vac switch from a Isuzu desal, works real good coming of the line
