Got an update got it turning over nad have spark waiting on block of plates amd a carb rebuild then should be a le to fire it up in this chassis need to do some wiring for the guages and figure the alt wiring out but its closer

Getting a little discouraged cant find the wiring diagrahm that i need found out headlight arnt working maybe missing part of a sub harness with my new job i have no time to work on it

i have a 400 page copy of the original been threw every page trying to find in the engine harness wiring what wire color does what like oil buzzer oil pressure that type of stuff think I have nailed down the oil buzzer low oil light temp guage oil psi guage and start signal wire still need ti figure out how to do the alt because origanaly it was a external regulater and im switching to a 81 12a so its a internal reg so in turn if any body out there has acces to a rx4 in the engine harness connects into a big black plug on driver side fender the plug I the back of the alt wire colors reverse light wire colors and the neg on the original coils that is for the tach wire color any help at this point is appricated

does any body out ther have a stock rx4 they could take some pics of the engine bay such as fuel line and orientation and does anybody know the the original fuel pump is vacumm

I'd have to look on my car, but I think I just had to jumper 2 pins in the connector of the voltage regulator to make the newer alternator work. I run a FC alternator on my Rx-4. I can also check what wire is for the tach. I think it's black with either an orange or green tracer. Can't remember off hand right now.

got some new parts the last couple of days finally got keys made found and ordere rear brake wheel cylinders got them yesterday installed them got a new clutch slave cylinder and hose since im using the rx7 trans I used a rx7 slave and rubber hose to convert over from banjo bolts simple olt on used to cans of rust converter paint did the trunk flors even thought they didn't need it inner fenders all over the place to prevent any further rust was felling bored tonight so I did a little moch up of the wheels I don't think im going to use the 92s though

No it sat out side unfortunetly its getting closer im half tempted to part with her i really wont have time for her when its finished between my 240sx my fd and my b2200 and racing go karts and motocross i hardly have time to work on her now

Little update got the other wheel cylinder installed brakes bleed finally gunna mount up the enkeis tommrow after work and finish welding in one last patch in the rail then i can take the jack stands out and finally set her on the ground and start figuring out what i need to do the put 81 gsl struts on the front there about 3 inches shorter but idk if the lower mount is the same bolt pattern should have the carb back next week also put the rad and oil cooler in

The interior is nothing special will be getting a set of escort gt front seats there is no carpet yet i have the rear seats but needs new upholstry i have sll of the plastics for the interior got the manifold done pocking up the carb tonight hopefully gunna test fire it on a temp fuel supply tonight fingers crossed

So i got my carb baxk with the steerling mods and a full overhaul ran up to atkins today meet dave got to see some of his cool stuff really cool guy got my gaskets after a hour of work THE CAR IS RUNNING
