76 rx4 first start up

Hey guys update i got her running today after rebulding carburetor.. alot more work to do.

Thanks rxtasy3 I'll swap the auto to 5speed soon.and complete front struts from 1st gen. working hard and getting alot of info from wackyracer great guy.

Why not keep the original RX4 front suspention? What are the benefits of using the first gen suspention, just wondering...thanks

Its been sitting the last registration was in 1985 till now. hoping to get project on road by next summer .

Sounds good, but if all you want the first gen suspention is for lowering your RX4, thier might be an easier way. For my RX4 I just bought lowering springs from Aus. Lowered the car just right. I know there is a thread on here too about it. Search Lowering RX4 or something like that. Has alot of good websites that a member privided. Might be easier to lower the car this way...its an idea

Sounds good. If you want to lower the car a little, just cut the factory springs one or two coils.
