a few years back i played with the idea of a 20b powered ghia, but then i got a third gen rx7. but who knows maybe in the future a short crank 3 rotor wouldnt be a bad idea.
but like i said before your slight modification looks good.

treceb: I had actally refinished the front fenders before I bought new ones. So they are perfect and in primer. The rears are hammered. Previous owner cut the **** out of them then bondo'd about 1/4" to 1/2" over them to hide the mistakes. Not salvageable.

i think i used the same exhaust wrap as you. that stuff sucks to put on i was picking fiberglass splinters out of my hands for days after.

AverageJoe: Well the repair manuals for beetles actually breakdown the rebuild of the trans I believe. But you buddy would prob be better of just getting a used tranny. You can get rebuilt trannys for bugs for like $400 and used trans are a dime a dozen. Go on THESAMBA or look on craigslist.
