Thumbs up 26b ???

O.K. ... I'm sure many of you are aware of the legendary 787B LeMans winning car, with a 4 rotor rotary...
<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/K1BWv7iPFUg&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/K1BWv7iPFUg&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

I was under the impression that this was a specially built creation, just for the LeMans entry. Mazda played with a 4 rotor design; but i thought it was a rudimentary linking of 2 12As...
Not that I'm entirely aware of all rotary developments, admittedly...

Anywho...the 20B is an awesome piece of engineering, and in my opinion, should'ave been (at least) an option in the Rx-7's, if not standard equipment.
...but holy smokes... can you imagine the power levels that are obtainable with a 26B??

...they do exist, and I guess, are obtainable to the wealthy &/or creative...

They sure do sound wicked!!!

this is by far the bitchenist vid of a 4 rotor!
people; it makes over 1600 h/p; and over 1100ft/lb. of torque!!!!

If you want a 4-rotor engine. Just contact GURU motorsport in Melbourne, Australia. They CNC everything required such as the billet shafts & your set to go.

i heard that the 4-rotor (two 12a's) made a lot of horsepower, but was ultimately very inefficient. I definitely think mazda could make a better 4 rotor if they wanted... XP
