While at the 12 hours of Sebring last month with my family I saw a Ferrari 458 and fell in love with the interior. Although not leather, nor anywhere near the quality of the Ferrari’s interior I copied the overall theme and applied it to my REPU Bucket seat. I think it looks great and gives it even more of an old school look. I am on the fence about changing the door panels now???? I’ll see what happens.

Having the carpet modified so that the hole in the carpet matches the shifter hole of the tranny tunnel. Once I get that and install the carpet I will get some better interior shots for you guys.

Save the old panels and make new ones out of hardboard (same as pegboard but without the holes) and cover them with the new pattern. That way you can put it back to stock down the line if you feel like it.

All I got to say its that I have seeing this Repu a few times during the build and pictures doesn't do it justice, Simon has done a amazing job on this bad ass truck, can't wait to see it out in the streets.

the panels are not original, i had them re-done when i built the REPU last year for the 6 port 13B set up but that is a good idea. i can make new panels and if i dont like them, i can change them out with the existing panels

thanks, yesterday got a good base map installed on it. here is quick vid. actually drove it for the first time, actually just pulled it in and out of the garage. feels great to know that everything works, tranny, clutch, driveshaft....etc etc.

i have to replace the spring on the TB's as it does not allow the butterfly's to close as they should and will not allow the truck to idle below 2000 RPM...ordered them this morning but they come out of AU so looks like i wont be driving the truck for at least a week. anyways, enough with the writing.....on with the vid

Sounds really nice Simon. You might want to check with Logan at Defined for N/A parts like throttle body springs as he's the man with this kind of stuff.

I noticed that the parking lights/reverse lights were on the entire time. Did some investigating and found that the switch is doing the opposite of what it should be doing. It opens the circuit when the car is reverse and closes it when not in reverse. I don’t know if this is because that the way Turbo II switches work or if I just have a faulty switch. Im thinking the switch is working as its supposed to. anyways a combination of having the wrong light bulbs plus the lights staying on the entire time, melted my parking light lenses.

Looked all over for replacement lenses and came up short. Found these lights are the local advanced auto. They were the perfect size and fit perfectly, or course, with some modifications. I’m pretty happy that my lenses melted, as I would have never thought of replacing the parking lights. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good and this is one of those times.

So since relocating the shifter location towards the back of the truck 4”,I had to relocate the hole for the shifter location back 4” in the carpet. Took it to a local shop and they attempted to do this work. The carpet color does not match and it looks like a skunk died in my car. Absolutely horrible! So off I was trying to find a new REPU Carpet. Tried all the obvious places and came up empty. Found Auto Carpet Customs Inc and they have one for the Courier. Since I did not want the have the dead skunk I took a chance. Really happy I did. Great carpet. Even comes with sound deading material. Here are some pics. Carpet needs trimming but its nothing too difficult. Other than that its really nice. I’ll get some better pics of it installed in the daylight and post

Now is the time where one starts to change small things that did not come out correctly the first time. The radio always bothered me. Although it was a clean install, the radio was too modern for my taste. Found Retro-Sounds and ordered their Zuma model. Easy install, good old school looks with new technology, has connection for phone and you can set the dials anywhere you want to fit your existing dash. Really happy with the unit. This is what the old radio looked like.

pretty sure i got them from Rock Auto either way they are MOOG-CC250

wasnt a big fan of the velocity stacks. also wanted some way to filter them more then jost a screen. found these filters with velocity stacks on a V8 site.

I noticed you have fuel injection, but you also have a sensor/switch in the thermostat neck. Is that for the fans? If so, why didn't you just let your ECU do the switching based on the temperature sensor it already has?

the sensor in the thermo neck is just for the Autometer water temp guage. i have three Autometer guages in the center speaker location. Its an FD tripple guage holder that was nodified to fit the REPU.

the computer turns the fans on and off. Running Haltech SP2000.

When i was running the 13B, i used a fan controller that i bought for $60 bucks. It was adjustable so you could set it to turn the fans on at the temp that you desire. it had a probe that you inserted into the fins of your raditor. i have the part number if you are interested.
